May 5, 2014 Deadline for IA Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) scholarship opportunities for girl golfers: $2,000 for Sara Scholarship is for "involvement" which can even mean a manager or employee of golf course.
May 7, 2014 Deadline for the VFW Post 7641 Ladies Auxillary Scholarship. Paper/pencil applications are in the counselor's office.
May 8, 2014 Deadline for the NLHS Student Council Scholarship. Paper/pencil applications are in the counselor's office.
May 10, 2014 Deadline for the Robert D. Blue Scholarship by the IA Centennial Memorial Foundation. is the site for online application, or call the treasurer's office at 515-242-5270. Applicants must demonstrate literary and scholastic ability; exhibit qualities of truth, courage, and fellowship; and display moral force of character. Awards are based on financial need, original essay, academics, and recommendations.

Month of June Deadlines

PRIOR to June 13, 2014 Deadline for the Charlie Burkart Scholarship ($4,000) for any senior who is a resident within the boundaries of the IA PGA Section and the State of IA. Winners selected on the basis of their interest and activity in golf and the potential for future contributions to the game, plus financial need. Criteria include 2 recommendations (1 from a local PGA professional) and a self-statement interest in golf, other activities/awards, and financial need.
